Established in 1936, the Syracuse Peace Council is the oldest local, autonomous peace and justice organization in the United States. The Peace Council organizes primarily in the Central New York community but also works closely with high school and university activists, university faculty and high school teachers in the region.
If you're an educator, please consider how the Peace Council can be a resource to assist in your work and to help your students think more broadly about the world.
With the prospect of a new draft becoming more likely, the Peace Council is seeking opportunities to talk with young people about these important questions they may face. Contact us for speakers.
