Syracuse Peace Council makes Youth and Militarism work a major priority for the coming year.

The Peace Council had a great spring of tabling at area high schools and is now winding down that work with the end of the academic year approaching. This summer, for the first time, we are developing outreach programs for summer youth groups.

SPC's Youth and Militarism/Military Alternatives Program believes that our community has a responsibility to provide young people with full and accurate information about what it will mean if the join the military and to encourage youth activism.
We also stay connected and organize on regional, state, and national levels as a network of concerned citizens in favor of independent education addressing military enlistment as well as selective service law and the draft.
