NEWS:Syracuse Peace Council makes Youth and Militarism work a major priority for the coming year. The Peace Council is currently engaged in program development work to increase our presence in the Syracuse City High Schools and begin reaching out to selected rural districts where military recruiters are particularly active. | SPC's Youth and Militarism/Military Alternatives Program believes that our community has a responsibility to provide young people with full and accurate information about what it will mean if the join the military and to encourage youth activism. We also stay connected and organize on regional, state, and national levels as a network of concerned citizens in favor independent education addressing military enlistment as well as selective service law and the draft. Join our group list serve to receive information on upcoming events and actions.
