Caravan from the East on I-90

If anyone from east of Syracuse would like to hook up with the Albany bus and car caravan, we are planning on 2 stops as indicated below:

Thruway Stops: Currently this is the Time Table and Scheduled Stops for the Capital District NY Thruway Peace Caravan from Albany.
  1. We will be gathering together for both the Peace Bus and the Carpools on September 29th at 8:30 AM at the OGS Garage in Albany at Madison Avenue and Eagle Street. We will be leaving at 9:00 AM.

  2. We will be stopping twice on the NY State Thruway to regroup and pick up cars in the caravan.

    • The first stop will be at the Iroquois Rest Stop at approximately 10:00 am and leave there by 10:15.

    • The second stop will be at the Chittenango Rest Stop, again for 15 minutes at about 11:30 , leaving at 11:45.
People planning to join the Caravan "en route" then should plan on being at these rest stops prior to our above scheduled stopping times.

Parking:

There is metered street parking on Saturdays in downtown Syracuse. However, we were told that there is no one to enforce it then. In anticipation of the great number of people who will be coming from out of town we are working on a solution to make sure there is enough parking for everyone. Please check the parking map linked above and below on the Everson's website for nearby parking lots.
