TIPS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE 9-29 MARCH & RALLY IN SYRACUSE

Things to bring:
  • Money - you will very likely have to pay for parking. There are many restaurants and cafes near the rally sites if you want to buy food or drinks. There will also be tables set up at both rallies with free information and merchandise for sale.

  • Food & Water - bring a quart of water (a couple of small water bottles should be fine), snack bars, granola or other munchies.

  • Clothing - wear comfortable shoes and clothes, layers are always good. The march route is about 1.5 miles. Even if it's warm during the day, plan on bringing something warm for the evening.

  • Cameras/video equipment - consider taking photos or video and sharing copies with event organizers. You can stop by our media table at either rally to find out more.

  • Signs, drums, props - We want to have a creative, visible, loud presence. Consider bring a sign that identifies your group or region.

  • First aid supplies. We will have a team of medics at the event, but it's always a good idea to have someone in your group carrying basic first aid supplies.

Things to know:
  • Pick up a copy of the event program to help orient yourself.

  • Have cell phone numbers for others in your group.

  • Have a meeting spot and time picked out in case you get separated during the march.

  • Make a note of where you are parked.
