Anti-War Street Heat is a way to get out into the public and stand up against Weaponized Reaper Drones that are being operated by the 174th Attack Wing of the NY National Guard based at Hancock Air Force Base. Actually going out onto the streets around Hancock and other parts of the community sends a loud message to the 174's personnel as well as the public. Anyone interested in standing up against these war crimes is encouraged to come out and join the resistance.

Bring your own Anti-War Signs or use one of ours. All progressive signs welcome.

“Are you crazy?” “Are you out of your mind?” My friends’ concerns were foremost in my mind as I boarded Turkish Air Flight 706 bound for Kabul, Afghanistan. I had recently learned that US Embassy personnel no longer drive the streets of Kabul; they travel by helicopter.  As recently as October 3, 2015 the US military had “accidentally” bombed a Doctors Without Borders Hospital in the provincial capital Kunduz, north of Kabul, incinerating many patients as they lay in their beds.

Recently I heard one of my soldiers was getting hitched. During our 2008 deployment to Afghanistan we were a close team. We called artillery support during patrols with our infantry brethren. I was shocked that our team sergeant would be in Afghanistan during the wedding.

We still send people to a war. My old right-hand man will be in his third year of it. We spent a trillion on military training, hardware and education. The people we send still range from 18-year-olds to grandparents. They come home and we call them heroes.
