Tue, Aug 15, 2017 4:15pm - 5:00pm
Hancock Airforce Base, 600 E. Molloy Rd. Syracuse, NY

Anti-War Street Heat is a way to get out into the public and stand up against Weaponized Reaper Drones that are being operated by the 174th Attack Wing of the NY National Guard based at Hancock Air Force Base. Actually going out onto the streets around Hancock and other parts of the community sends a loud message to the 174's personnel as well as the public. Anyone interested in standing up against these war crimes is encouraged to come out and join the resistance.

Bring your own Anti-War Signs or use one of ours. All progressive signs welcome.

U.S. Veteran Welcomed By Afghan Peace Volunteers

I had recently learned that US Embassy personnel no longer drive the streets of Kabul; they travel by helicopter.  As recently as October 3, 2015 the US military had “accidentally” bombed a Doctors Without Borders Hospital in the provincial capital Kunduz, north of Kabul, incinerating many patients as they lay in their beds.

No to Endless War

On Feb. 11, President Obama sent Congress a proposed joint resolution to Authorize the Use of Military Force (AUMF), which would authorize and extend military action against ISIS for the next three years. The Syracuse Peace Council calls on Congress to reject this new AUMF, rescind the 2001 AUMF, and stop an “endless” war on the people of the Middle East.
