Longtime Plowshares Craftswoman Passes

SPC’s annual Plowshares Craftsfair is such an inspirational event because of the community of people it brings together. One of those people is now gone. Felice Osband, a talented glassblower and longtime Plowshares supporter, died recently in her hometown of Rochester.

Felice participated in Plowshares for over 14  years, sharing her glassblowing as a visible part of the show each year. Fairgoers would watch her create her famous fairies, mermaids and other glass figurines and jewelry.

She will be missed by many people, including those of us on the Plowshares committee. Photo: Paul Pearce, 2003.
