Put your money where your heart is: Stimulate Peace

To the editor:

I have been pondering what to do with the money I am about to receive from the federal government. On the one hand I did pay my taxes so if there is a rebate to be had I suppose the money is mine. On the other hand, both deficit spending and the national debt are through the roof. That means that the only way the government can hand out the goodies is to pile on even more debt; which means that the money is actually stolen from our children, and their children, and so on. What to do, what to do? I haven't parsed it all out yet but I have decided that the first thing I'm going to do with my windfall is to make an investment in peace for the future generations who are rightfully entitled to this money. I am pledging $100, which I will send to SPC as soon as my government check arrives. I sincerely invite all people who crave peace to join me.
