Converge on the Capital!
Rally at the Governor's State of the State
Albany - Wednesday, January 21
January 21st, is the Governor's annual State of the State address. It's also the FIFTH anniversary of the Citizens United ruling which opened the flood gates for corporate money in politics. Activists from around the state will be converging on the Capital - the seat of New York's power and corruption - make our voices heard at the beginning of the legislative session.

We will rally to celebrate New York's recent fracking ban!

We will SPEAK OUT against mass incarceration and police brutality against poor people of color because #BlackLivesMatter (more information here about actions coordinated by Capital District Against Mass Incarceration).

We will rally to get money out of politics and make New York the 17th state to call for a constitutional amendment to get Big Business out of politics!

We will rally INDOORS on the Empire Plaza Concourse.

There are still seats on the FREE van leaving Syrcuse at 7am on Wednesday 1/21 to rally with NY4Democracy, Move to Amend and Public Citizen to get corporate money out of politics. Please sign up here ASAP or contact Ursula, (315) 414-7720
