On February 11, 2015, President Obama sent Congress a proposed joint resolution to Authorize the Use of Military Force (AUMF), which would authorize and extend military action agains ISIS for the next three years in Iraq, Syria and beyond.  The Syracuse Peace Council calls on Congress to reject this new AUMF and stop an "endless" war on the people of the Middle East.

On April 26-28 about 250 people converged on Syracuse for a weekend of education, networking and action to resist drones, global war and empire. Friday was a gathering; Saturday a day of workshops, networking and playing together; and by Sunday’s rally/ march/ civil resistance at Hancock Air Base, the numbers had risen to 275.
