December 19, 2013 - In Accordance and Peace

As we move through the Winter Solstice towards the returning light, the moon shines brightly on the snow casting clear, sharp shadows on the snow. It is a beautiful and inspiring sight and causes one to pause and soak in the magnitude of the natural world that we are privileged to share.

Winter gives the earth a time to rest and prepare for the coming seasons. We, too, can make it a time to rest, reflect and focus anew on the challenges we have chosen to address – supporting the Onondaga Nation, preventing Hydrofracking in New York State, increasing awareness of the Doctrine of Discovery, monitoring the clean up on Onondaga Lake and raising concern about the threat of Global Warming.

As we look back at the progress we have made, we realize that we continue to have challenges ahead of us but together we will push forward with a belief that we can and do make a change.

May the returning light and our collective pause to reflect strengthen you and renew your spirit. May we all strive to live in accordance with the earth and in peace with each other.

Rally at Cuomo's State of the State: No Fracking, Yes Renewables!
When: Wednesday, January 8, 2014
Time: 11AM - 3PM
Where: Empire State Plaza – Concourse hallway near the entrance to The Egg (Indoors), Albany, NY

As we move into the New Year, fracktivists are looking forward to our rally at Governor Cuomo's State of the State! This year is super crucial since we know that Cuomo will be up for re-election this next year and we need to make sure he knows we are going to pressure him every campaign stop of the way. This starts at State of the State!

There are two buses from Syracuse, leaving at 9am from Price Chopper Parking Lot at 2515 Erie Blvd East. Here is the link to sign up: People outside CNY can connect to buses from their area through this site by selecting "Find an Event" on the left.

Please RSVP and share the facebook event with your friends!

This will be a fun, energizing rally... and we will show Cuomo what the Fate of the State looks like for us… SUSTAINABLE!
