The 2020 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) have been postponed until next year in light of concerns about COVID-19.The event was originally scheduled to take place in K’jipuktuk/Halifax, N.S., from July 12-18. Organizers are hoping to reschedule the event in Halifax sometime next summer.

The fifth-annual LAXNAI will not take place as scheduled from September 24-27, 2020 at Onondaga Nation Fieldhouse and Onondaga Nation Arena. The North American Invitational is the continent’s preeminent annual box lacrosse tournament, held annually in Syracuse, New York. Learn more about LAXNAI.

NOON Steering Committee Open Meeting, Tuesday, May 19, 7 PM. For the foreseeable future meetings will be virtual. Since new people often have a lot of questions and you will need contact info for the virtual meeting, we recommend contacting Carol Baum, Syracuse Peace Council Staff, or Sue Eiholzer, NOON Volunteer, before the meeting.

The NOON Steering Committee and Syracuse Peace Council hopes that you and you loved ones are healthy and safe. Please follow safety precautions and help us all save each others lives. While CNY is not effected anywhere near as severely as the NYC area, we do have our share and are practicing social distancing and quarantine. We are happy to share that our Onondaga Neighbors currently have 0 cases of Coronavirus. The Onondaga Nation Council of Chiefs and Clan Mothers decided to close all Nation enterprises to preserve the health and heart of the Nation and community.
